Alexa, Can You Get the Door? Amazon is reportedly buying Ring, a smart doorbell maker, for $1 billion. According to CNBC, Ring will likely help the ecommerce giant "expand its home security and in-house delivery services." This isn't Amazon's first investment in Ring. The company has also invested via its Alexa Fund, which was set up to fuel voice technology innovation for Echo devices. 

Temperature-Controlled Clothes: Data from YouGov, looking at the future of clothing, found that nearly half of Americans would want to control the temperature of their clothes just by using a mobile app, similar to the ones used by athletes at this year's Winter Olympics. Still, not everyone is buying the hype. Over a third said they're not interested. 

Fast Sites: For many marketers, particularly those in the retail space, getting a mobile page to load shouldn't take long. According to data from Think with Google, it takes an average of 15.3 seconds to fully load a mobile page. "In retail, we've found that a one second delay in page load times can impact mobile conversions by up to 20%," wrote Matt Bush, country director of the UK at Google, in a blog post.
