Fashionable Results: Michael Kors' sales increased 6.5% to $1.44 billion in Q3 of fiscal 2018. That includes a $114.7 million contribution from Jimmy Choo, a banner owned by the company for just two months of the quarter. According to eMarketer's Retail Database, Michael Kors' comparable sales decreased 1.8% last quarter.

Strong Footing: The US athletic footwear industry grew by 2% last year to $19.6 billion, The NPD Group reports. Women's footwear sales increased 5% year over year, while men's footwear grew by 1%. 

New Offerings: Ann Taylor's Loft brand has released a plus-size collection. The retailer is likely "capitalizing upon the growing plus-size movement" after several other companies, like Madewell and The Limited, also launched their own collections, Glossy reports
