More Tech: Zara continues to bet on technology to drive people to stores. The company will be introducing an augmented reality (AR) app that lets shoppers who are standing near in-store displays or display windows view AR versions of models wearing different pieces of clothing. Consumers will also be able to buy the pieces through the app.
Is There an Incentive? New research from Revuze, an automated consumer insights service, examined the pros and cons of incentivized customer reviews. What it found was that incentivized reviews—those written by consumers who get an item for free, or get a coupon for the review—are (surprise!) more positive toward products by roughly 8.3%.
