Popping Up: Zara has unveiled a new pop-up store in the Westfield Stratford City shopping center in London, designed with a digital focus. Store associates are on hand with mobile devices to help consumers, who have the option of getting their order that very same day—if it's placed before 2pm—or the following day. Consumers also have the option to pay for their goods using a card terminal system operated via Bluetooth. What's more, the store features a product recommendation system that brings up choices for consumers, like what would work best with that top they were eyeing. 

New Duo: Keurig Green Mountain and Dr Pepper Snapple Group have struck a deal, with the coffee system giant planning to buy the soft drinks behemoth for $18.7 billion, The New York Times reports. "Our view of the industry through the lens of consumer needs, vs. traditional manufacturer-defined segments, unlocks the opportunity to combine hot and cold beverages and create a platform to increase exposure to high-growth formats," said Bob Gamgort, CEO of Keurig, in a statement

US Expansion: Asos, an ecommerce store based in the UK, is expanding its business to the US. The retailer commissioned a 1 million-square-foot fulfillment center in Atlanta last August, which is expected to open later this year. According to Business Insider, North American sales "currently account for 12% of [Asos'] total, but the US is one of the company's top five markets."
